Before the Dawn's Tuomas Saukkonen Teams Up with Kaunis Kuolematon's Mikko Heikkilä for Melodic Doom Metal Project
Dawn of Solace, the melodic doom metal side-project from Finland, is back with a new EP and music video. The EP, titled "Event Horizon," features three new tracks and is the band's first release since their 2019 album "Waves."
The music video for the title track is a haunting and atmospheric affair, with the band performing in a dark and desolate setting. The video perfectly captures the band's sound, which is a blend of heavy doom metal with melodic and atmospheric elements.
Dawn of Solace was formed in 2005 by Tuomas Saukkonen, who is also the frontman for the bands Before the Dawn and Black Sun Aeon. The band's lineup has changed over the years, but Saukkonen has remained the driving force behind the project.
On the new EP, Saukkonen is joined by Mikko Heikkilä of the band Kaunis Kuolematon on vocals. Heikkilä's powerful and emotional vocals add a new dimension to Dawn of Solace's sound.
